New Road Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland, 353-64-31379
Well this morning we woke to heavy heads and grey skies. A quick brekkie and we were off on the bus once more. We drove along the Dingle peninsula for a while, which some breathtaking cliffs and scenery. At one stage we got off the bus to take some photos, and Mike closed the doors and drove a little way down the road - enforcing some fresh air and exercise! We also got the opportuinity to climb a rather large hill, covered in sheep ...
Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland bronandjosh09Well needless to say today began with a headache, after finding the craic in Galway. Armed with lots of water and my first coffee in 5 days!, we set off.

Before long we were travelling through the Buren - a wild desolate area, made of limestone with spectacular views. We visited a beautiful desolate abbey, then started making like the goats that inhabit the area and climbed some hills with spectacular views of the coastline. Michael ...
Annascaul, County Kerry, Ireland bronandjosh09... at the Railway Hostel,in a cute three-person room and just relaxed tonight...Because ours burnt out the night before, the first thing we needed to do was find a hair straightener when we woke up because heaven forbid Haley, Nicole and I not having a straightener while backpacking. Thats just how we roll while we're backpacking.

There are sooooo many rainbows here. We saw five yesterday. The sky is pitch black with a small ray of ...
Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland nic_dani_geers... Ireland because they’ll soon be too old to rent a car. They’re returning home next week by way of Dublin and they haven’t been to some of our favorite places along the way, so we shared information.

We’ve gone through all our clothes and have everything for our final days in one suitcase. We’re starting to get ready to go home, and while there’s still a lot to see and do, I think we’ll be happy when Saturday is here.
Kenmare, County Kerry, Ireland rovingwerners... we had dinner at a Thai restaurant and I must say it was just like home!! Well Thai they serve up in Australia. I did think and Amy agreed that Ireland was quite expensive, meals etc were quite dear. Accomodation seemed to be on par.

Drinks at our hotel.. there was a hunters annual general meeting going on when we arrived.. lol very funny, the members were not what I thought a typical hunter would be!!
Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland sares12... a poached egg, which I did not know was a raw egg cracked open into a pot of boiling water. I was extremely proud of Matt for not complaining about his gelatinous mess of a breakfast! How many 8-year-olds would not comment upon a plate of what looks like snot? I whispered to him that we would take him to Tesco ASAP and buy him whatever he wanted to eat.

And a taxidermist-stuffed fox looked down upon us all from his perch on a bookshelf. Glorious ...
Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland mandevillekids... the stone. We hope you are all well. Miss you and look forward to seeing you when we get back. Since we're not positive that this is getting through, we'd really like it if you could send a response -- again, since this is new to us we are not positive how you do this, but are pretty sure you'll figure it out. Bye for now. HersheyTravel (for Marty & Pat) PS We're going to try the pics but if they aren't attached, you'll see them later on.
Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland hersheytravelPoor Jenny to have such a miser for a brother that he booked a flight a flight at 6.20am in the morning from an airport an hour out of town to save a few quid (actually £36, but the extra sleep would have more than covered that no doubt...). So lovely sister that she is, woke us up at 2.30am, and drove us to the Victoria bus station so we could catch a bus out to the airport. On arrival at Stansted, checked in in about 2 seconds (Ryanair don't muck about) and ...
Killarney, Ireland damnfunkin... the Ring of Kerry... Ireland's number one tourist spot. Looking forward to it. Last night ended up being quite unbearable and I started to question why I'm subjecting myself to this... I was in a very small, cramped 4 bed dorm. The 50 year old was weird ... and noisy. I desperately searched for my ear plugs, and alas, I found them... they are such an INDISPENSABLE item that I would never travel without. I was able to get to sleep but the room had a nasty musty smell to it. I ...
Killarney, Ireland shanewilson... the village being saved from invaders. Quaint, don't you think? For lunch we stopped at a cafe where the only thing I could eat was a salad plate that cost E8.95--around $14.50. (!!) I declined to pay such exorbitant prices, so just bought a Sprite and ate my own peanut butter and bread. After lunch we passed through Sneem (in Gaelic, An tSnaidhm) without stopping. Here was a highlight--I saw an old man toodling along on a bicycle, reminding me very much of the frail ...
