... Maybe the food is repetitive, maybe there is only entertainment every other night but overall this holiday was the best holiday me and my girlfriend have ever been on. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, the one thing i dont recommend is flying with thomas cook... So please dont be put off by the bad reviews all the snobs have wrote because the holiday is what you make it and the hotel helped us make this holiday fantastic!
Side, Antalya, Turkey stephanberlin... place. We ate there on an outsıde floating dining room. Fresh trout from the trout farm located there. We started with some wonderful bread that was flat, air filled and shaped like a large elongated frisbee. I would tear off a piece, fill it with butter and goat cheese and consume it. I think I ate an entire loaf myself. After lunch we went to the beach. There we swam in the Mediterranean Sea. An amazing experience. In the distance were ...
Antolýa, Turkey edpaytonWell first time at Club Med.. great location; fab room, very luxurious... the whole happy campers atmosphere though.... not really me... but i recommend the med coast of turkey... 300 days of sun per year... and you can windsurf; sail; go horse riding in the mountains; waterski; parasail,etc...
Paris, France mireillecapponi... Roman ruins and an equally large amount of touristy shops and restaurants. I didn't care much for the commercialism (although the bellydance outfits were a little bit better quality) but the ruins were awesome, and the only part I saw that charged admission (the Roman Theater) was 5 Turkish Lira. That's less than 4 dollars/3 Euros/2 Pounds. Compare that with 11 Euros a head to get into the ruins in Rome!
Side, Turkey danbirchall... open by the river. Ants and I chose the under the stars option and it was another relaxing evening playing with the puppies(tree house owners 4 fluffy wee things) and a couple of quiets after a scramble up the gorge. Yesterday was a drive day with only a short stop for lunch and a shop in Kos. We in Olympos now some more ruins and a relaxing day at the beach. Gotta fly so more latter Cy and Ants
Olympos, Turkey antsHi everyone - thýs blog wıll turn out funny as we're on a Turkýsh keyboard. We arrived in Istanbul 28th Aprýl to spend a few days checking out the sites before heading off on our middle east tour. We stayed in the backpacker district in Sultanahmet which is pretty geared up for kiwis and aussies. The locals probably know more maori than the kiwis. Dýd a boat tour down the ...
Salcuk, Turkey ants... Turkish hotel owners when they say therell be hot water in the morning) : Never Trust A Tout (Turkish or Otherwise - Theyd sell their own mother to get u on the boat!). I wonder if there will be any more Turkish Travel Laws..... Oh I tell a lie - I did accomplish one thing of substance today - I managed to extend my car insurance - its been exactly a month in Turkey now so TIPO needed another fix. Theres an office in Antalya, as the biggest city on ...
Antalya, Turkey wadirunner... we had recovered from all the excitement we packed the telephoto lenses and drove to the amphitheater at Aspendos. This is a truly impressive structure in excellent condition and still used for concerts with up to 40,000 people. While there a group and then a soloist from the crowd sang and it was amazing that one voice could address such a large audience without amplification. Maybe we can still learn something.
