We have covered a lot of ground today but it really dose not feel like it! We saw LOTS of Corn feilds! Not nuch more to say for today because it was really just a travel day! I have felt pretty good all day but am really felling bad now! So off to bed! P.S. The hotel is nice!

... only so many pictures of corn fields. We are in the land of Lincoln and were following the "Lincoln historic trail" all day, but with the weather and the number of miles we had to go today we only had time for a couple of stops. A little laundry, route rap, dinner and then to bed.

So, we went out the night before for a farewell fling at Clybournes.. Basically us two all night as everyone else is a massive dump station.. Michael's alright. SO, we danced and pranced the night away, had some tearful* farewells, and scooted on home in the pouring rain. (It may or may not have been raining but pathetic fallacy works well.) Got flashed by a drunken lout, quibbled over the intelligence of cats and dogs, and Liv packed her entire Illinois life ...

Plus, border crossings make me nervous, and I can see some things from the protection of a group that I otherwise could not. We shall see if I can afford it. I have the backpack! ... 20 Biere wohl schlecht gewesen sein musste ;-) . Unter dem Motto "If there is no fun, we make it fun ..." (stammt noch von nem anderen Murphy's-Abend) sind wir also standhaft bei Eises Kälte und Wind von Bar zu Bar gezogen und haben überall Kostproben genommen. Dass ist hier üblich und gehört mindestens ein Mal pro Semester fest zum Semesterablauf. Der einzige Unterschied ist nur, dass es nicht von der U of I organisiert wird ;-) . Do, 10/11 Bin heute nach Chicago gefahren, um mich mit Donald Hey von The Wetland Initiative zu treffen. Mein Zug hatte in Chicago 40 min Verspätung, weil wir in der Stadt, mit Sicht auf den Sears Tower, ein mechanisches Problem mit den Bremsen hatten.
