... a sign for a town in Iowa called Hamburg that said "Hamburg...where common sense is common." Classic. Now I'm in St. Jefferson, Missouri, about 50 miles north of Kansas City, which by the way is not in Kansas. ... horses. No napping allowed, not then or now! I shot my bike in front of it as a modern update! Sadly when you read the inscription on the rock you find that it was moved from its original site and restored there which kinda makes it a rip-off in my books. ... is to travel west, take our time and see where the spirit leads us. (Mike spirit is telling him Palm Springs, CA) We will be heading back east to spend the summer in New Hampshire with the family.

So to all of our family and friends, thanks for your encouragement and comments. It helps make the one bad thing about being on the road, missing all of you, a little more bearable.

... visited this place in 1966 and was anxious to see it again, to see how it had changed in 50 years. And changed it has. For one thing, they now provide a home for as many girls as boys. And for another, these kids no longer live in dormitories, but rather in family homes on campus.
