... menu (this is new to me), I thought I'd try and keep it cheap, so I went to a place in the centre of town that sold cheap fry-ups. I should have known when, sat at my table already, I heard a guy ask a server if his breakfast was 'some sort of joke'. Sadly I don't think it was. I'm even a little concerned that they just moved the burnt bacon that he was waving around from his plate to mine. The sausage was awful, the toast was... well, it was warm bread, the mushrooms were gross ...

... a couple of minutes to chill out again.

Here? Okay, here the heat is that awful humid heat that kinda just sticks with you FOREVER. All day yesterday I felt like I was melting and that was not an awesome thing. :(

Despite the weather, my last two days here(ish) have been awesome! I've met so many people that I love, and it's been even more awesome to get to know them in person. I'm totally sticking a bunch of ridiculous ...

At 3.45am, one could already see the first lights of the day appearing in the sky and it is above the horizon by 5am. We made a toilet stop at 4am in Canungra. It was quite chilly there (15 deg), colder than I had anticipated. We left the place at 4.30am after a safety briefing regarding the do's and don'ts while taking the balloon ride. It's gonna be my first ride on ...

... scorching and we were quite exhausted from the heat by then. The weather has been sunny today, a perfect day for photo-taking but it was hot and scorching too. I'm having sunburns on my face and arms now. We left Byron Bay at 4pm and made our way back to the apartment, stopping at Coles for some grocery shopping. Dinner was cooked food and then have to turn-in early as we have to get up early for the hot-air balloon ride tomorrow. Pick-up is at ...

... that we ticked off a couple of items on our bucket list. The Great Barrier Reef is a must do for sea lovers (& even non sea lovers!) we spent the day out on the reef at 2 different dive sites. The boys spent the day scuba diving and completing their deepest dive yet of 16m!! Seeing all sorts of marine life but the highlight being the giant turtle they swum alongside. I built up the courage to snorkel despite the potential for sharks. It is such an amazing experience though ...
