The Latvian girl at the hotel told me there is a bus that maybe or maybe not runs to Nicosia but service ends at 5pm. She also said there is maybe a stop in town for or maybe not. Either way I am going to try to find my way there so I can see the capital and hopefully there is something to hold my interest. She told me most people are like me...here for a day and a half on their way to the Middle East. Cyprus is an extremely cheap bridge between the ...
... tacky racy lingerie, all proudly displayed on clear plastic hangers. It's like the perfect dessert after shopping for your pleasures in Billa. Maybe our friend from Finland could stop by Sofia on her way home and try out her newfound "prettiness" as she called it.
I've left all that shopping madness behind and have made it to Larnaca, Cypress. I've got plenty of time here to explore and see what this desert island has to offer.
All packing and cleaning is underway !!! Only 36 or so hours left before we hit the tarmac at Larnaca !! Just need to get the dog wormed and de-flead (not that he has them !), groomed and then buy him a travel box for the flight !
Fingers crossed all our accommodation arrangements have been made for Athens and Samothraki !
... all just fit and seemed perfect. On the return to Paphos we spotted
the spot where Aphrodite was born from the sea and her temple up on a
cliff. It was a very long day but one filled with several
interesting sites. I almost forgot...in Larnaka we happened upon the
church of St.. Lazarus where he was finally laid to rest.
... days to clean up. Every time we thought we'd cleaned it all, we'd spot another drop! Anyway, not to worry, Hugh came out of hospital the next day and has since made a full recovery, with just a splint on his arm to get a tiny bit of sympathy from passers by! A little inforamtion about Cyprus, then! Known as the island of Aphrodite, Cyprus lies at the crossroads of three continents, where east meets west. You will find it floating on the waters of ...
Ayia Napa, Cyprus andyfreshwaterLayover in Larnaca, Cyprus We take a very long bus ride to the airport. After 1 hr of waiting in the waiting room we were informed that the reason we were delayed was we were waiting for the Holy Flame from jeruselum. Who would of guessed!!!!!!!!! So after about 20 minutes we are told we could go board the plane. So we get on and I am stuck next ...
Larnaca, Cyprus grossmanjh... waters make the difference. The white sand, and the calmliness of the sea. The sea here is not blue...it's light crystal turquoise!!! You won't find similar beaches on any other part of the island. I visited the zoo, - but felt sorry for those poor crocodiles lying desperately in the sun. I pitied them! I wish I could do something for them....There is a nice aquarium too in Paralimni worth to be visited. Don't miss it if you are there. Another ...
PARALIMNI, Cyprus greekcypriot... quite small. Of course there is a nice view but still I wanted it to be a bit more spacious. Besides, we shall be living here for 7 nights !!! The days spent here are relaxing, and most of the time we are down the beach. The funny thing is that although I love this bay here, yet I find that there is not a place for walking and jogging, a thing that I love doing early every morning when I go out and walk for 8 kms. All these days here are spent idling around and ...
Protaras, Cyprus greekcypriot... This is a sport I love, and this is the reason why I am here. The beach is called MAKENZIE, and it is just 800metrs from the city centre of Larnaca. It is a place which actually looks like a small park at the end of the city, just 3 km from the airport. It has palm trees, and many nice restaurants for a night out. Centrally located, and ideal for tourists who want to enjoy real Mediterranean holidays!
Larnaca, Cyprus greekcypriot... especially so late at night. I pity those little ones, but the parents who have no idea what they are doing as well!!! The days go by and I enjoy every minute of my stay in Larnaca. I walk and exercise a lot. What else would somebody wish on a vacation? A peace of mind, and relaxation - this is what I have got here in Cyprus. I love taking photos, and especially during winter time, as I always sit on my pc and see my holiday ...
