Cambodia: Beaches, History and Reuniting

A travel blog entry by nigel.terrea

... The island is about a 2 hr and 30min ride away from Sihanoukville. We heard it was beautiful but assumed it was similar to Sihanoukville, except on an island. When we arrived we were quickly proven wrong as Koh Rong consisted of white sand pathways connecting a series of around 30 guesthouses. There were no cars, no motorbikes, lots of people in swim wear and a very chill vibe. It instantly had that 'island feel' to it but after Sihanoukville we were more than ready. ...

Personal paradise

We have an evening flight back to KL and a couple of days there before mum heads home so the holiday is not over just yet.

It was definitely the more expensive place on the beach and had a bit of a snazzy menu, also the only place selling cocktails so it was the perfect birthday celebration venue. We ordered our cocktails and ignoring the budget for the night we ordered whatever we wanted from the menu, although vegetarian options were lacking a bit. I made up my own dish ...
