    ... of the Sea is a pinnacle that rises twenty five metres from the sea bed, this pinnacle can draw in an array of sea life including schools of snappers, blacktip sharks, bamboo sharks, boxfish, moray eels, pufferfishes, turtles, triggerfish, scorpionfish and lots more! The boat was exactly the same as before, but this time we were also joined and crammed in with a group of three. Using the same back-roll entry we waited by the buoy for Chantal to prepare herself and lead the way. ...

    ... it, but it had to go. He managed to convince the spider to get onto the book and then tossed it out the window. The grasshopper disappeared between the wooden planks in the floor; we were both glad to be getting outta this joint in the morning.

    We both climbed into bed and fastened the mosquito net entrance with pegs, just to be certain. We both fell asleep very quickly with our last thoughts for the evening being: I hope nothing manages to get into our bed tonight!

    ... are we! We usually get the wooden long tail boats with a car engine on the back! We paid £2 for a three day visa to the island, the money is used to protect the marine life around the islands. We were doing drop offs at the opposite island when the driver pointed out a turtle swimming in the surface coming up for air! Surely that's a good sign, the first thing we see is a turtle on the way there! The water was crystal blue, not like maya bay blue... ...

    ... the first boat left for the Perhentian islands at 7.00 am. They'd told us that because of choppy waters, the boat would only be able to stop on the west side of the island closest to the mainland- we thought that was just a ploy to save petrol by not having to take the longer route- how wrong we were!     ... I have to agree with Cal though, if we had known how this part of the trip was going to pan out and how we would feel, we may have left in Bangkok with Tina. It was interesting that Cal also said that he felt the group has now dispersed and it is like bumping into people we know when we see other members of the group, however there is no cohesion any more.

    Anyway, 4 days to go until we are on our own, and we can only ***** about each other ...
