We watched the croc feeding in the Crocoseaum, like you see on the show. There were lots of native Oz animalsincluding Koalas, Kangaroos, emus and wombats ...

Noosa Heads, Noosa Heads kat_travels... 25 years younger than me, spotted the problem straight away and fixed it within seconds. So all I had to do was mount the generator and whip it into action. I was quite excited. After completing the installation, I pressed the start button and hey presto! We had 240 V. Now everything is working on the motorhome and our worry list is empty. We returned to the Nanango Caravan and Motorhome ...
Kilcoy, Queensland, Australia joderekononhomeFrom Tiaro, where we slept last night, we went off the beaten track heading towards Australia Zoo territory. On route we winded our way though lush Irish-like landscape to the sweet little town of Kenilworth. This is our favourite town in Australia and seems to be ticking away nicely. We dangerously dropped into the local cheese factory where we said we'd fill up ...

Noosa, Queensland, Australia nadinekarl... Cheetahs Rule!! Our visit to Australia Zoo was a fantastic day out and we can only wonder at how much more magical it would have been had Steve Irwin still been there to spread his understanding, enthusiasm and love for all things dangerous and endangered. As it is his message of conservation and the importance of protecting every animal from the tiniest ant to the biggest whale lives on through his family and the work of the staff at the zoo. Steve Irwin R.I.P.
Beerwah, Australia scruffyandco... of inner city Paris. This bus runs up the very impressive Rue De Rivoli, then passes right through an extremely narrow gateway into a courtyard of the Louvre, then traverses the Latin Quarter and terminates a short walk from the base of the Tour Eiffel. We went up to the 2nd level of the tower, which was as far as we could go as the top level is only open on the weekends in the off-season (our guide book hadn't pointed this out). We were a little disappointed, however the day was ...
Maleny, Australia irelandbound... had some of the best enclosures we've seen, and is well suited to accommodating a lot of people. But for $50 a person, we thought it wasn't as good of a value as Lone Pine or Currumbin, both called wildlife sanctuaries instead of zoos, for seeing Australian animals. That being said, I think what Steve Irwin did before his death and what the Irwin family is doing now is fantastic. It's really putting wildlife conservation into mainstream thought around the world. Today was an early ...
Nambour, Australia jaybrotz... I managed to get out of the house to explore a bit and discover the shortcomings of my wide-angle lens for shooting birds. And I don't mean taking pictures of rude hand gestures. I stepped off onto a highly flooded footpath near Neil and Jane's, which winds it's way through a forest of tea trees to the beach in hopes that I would find (and be able to photograph) some nature along the way. Well in the two or so hours I was out and ...
