... square, saw the church where Jean Bapististe Bernadotte was chosen to be king. The church is a simple church next to the many grand churches we’ve seen.

We went back to the campground for another dinner by the lake.

So now it was time to head south, back to Brussels. This would be about a 14 hour drive with a stop in Copenhagen.

We had to drive thru Orebro so we made one last lunch at the food court, bought ice then started driving ...

      Travel and tasks

Uneventful travel. Drove to Newcastle, flew via Heathrow to Arlanda, train via Stockholm to Orebro. Met by our great friend David, again. Next day, delivered the Boomer to their friends Tim and ...

Well the trip in Stockholm is in its last few days. We thought we should do one final boat trip out to the Scandinavian islands. We picked Birka, not the place where they make shoes, but a famous Nordic trading post from 700 AD. It is a small island but important in the trading routes of the day and a base for Vikings to explore and steal ...

... bottom of the hill look wicked; I think dad still has one in his room. Cleaning time again, Staffan away to work and I’m back in the chicken house, having totally MacGuyvered the vacuum cleaner (read: emptied the bag properly, shaken out the hose and prayed). The chickens are acting strange today, strange for chickens anyway. You can really see the personalities in some of them. So far two of them have names. Broody does as she is named – ...
