    ... to cook and clean for us. 6.30pm showered and dressed for dinner, collected our buzzer for the dining queue and ordered a cocktail - I'm still sticking to the margaritas, on the rock with salt rimmed glass. Dined late 9ish, finished 10.30 an went to the kareoke, what a laugh, great night, Kevin sang Danny Boy with the assistance of an English man. A big Mexican man with a guocho and black moustache ...

    ... the Captain set off after lunch about 1.30 and we travelled 2 hours south down the coast heading towards Sardinia and pulled up in a picturesque little bay called Belvedere Campomor, to stay the night on anchor. It was a very smooth run, the boat handled it well.
    The temperature is during the day would have been about 33deg, so it was bathers on and in for a swim. Water temp about 25deg.

    ... it was called "golden waves" and was painted gold and was huge and, as we sauntered past, there was what looked like a family on board preparing for a day trip. The city itself is very close to where we port and it does not take long to walk from the ship and then be amongst the main shops and market type stalls. Both David and I said that the scenery and the vibe reminded us of a Caribbean town.

    ... here at Heathrow, so I've even bought a top here, still shopping at the last minute. Today we spent a bit of time going back and getting some things we saw yesterday in Oxford and Regent streets, as we couldn't cope with the crowds and queues any longer. Today we were there at 9.30 and were finished in an hour. It seemed like a different place, no crowds, no queues, and no clothes all over the place, in complete disarray.     We awoke on this last day of the cruise to be coming in to Portoferraio! A beautiful clear day in the harbor of the Island of Elba. It is the islands largest city and because of its terrain many of its buildings are situated on the slopes of a tiny hill surrounded on three sides by the sea!
