... my reading glasses when I go shopping. But hey, with age comes wisdom, the only upside. Back on the bus at 200pm as ship up and away at 430pm.

Off to Rome tomorrow and going to take a look at the port side town which I cannot spell nor pronounce. Getting to Rome is quite difficult from the port so giving it a miss this time xx

... due to being at sea. The iPad is good for info on where we are going. The other cruises we have been on have been much more informative of independent exploration of a port and its area. The temperature is during the day would have been about 33deg, so it was bathers on and in for a swim. Water temp about 25deg.

Today we spent a bit of time going back and getting some things we saw yesterday in Oxford and Regent streets, as we couldn't cope with the crowds and queues any longer. Today we were there at 9.30 and were finished in an hour. It seemed like a different place, no crowds, no queues, and no clothes all over the place, in complete disarray. We then headed over to Camden market, and ...

We awoke on this last day of the cruise to be coming in to Portoferraio! A beautiful clear day in the harbor of the Island of Elba. It is the islands largest city and because of its terrain many of its buildings are situated on the slopes of a tiny hill surrounded on three sides by the sea! Leaving the ship @ 9:30 we were surprised at the intensity of the heat. But true to form, this didn't stop us - maybe slowed us down a ...
