... I drank excellent wine and beer. I reminisced over fond memories and then created new ones.

Thank you Corsica for the lovely weekend.

And now, it's back to the real world and work. Though, right now that means heading to Paris for more strategy sessions and then off to India. Not such a rough reality.

... pretty beach town. We arrived and realized they were having a fair. What serendipity! We enjoyed seeing the various carnival rides and vendors. And it was eye-opening to experience an outside perspective on America -- check out my photo of the Team USA ride. Yikes. We then found a lovely little restaurant and sat waterside. Magnificent!

No insights. No quips. Just a fun day with some wonderful friends.

Once in Corsica we had another drive to reach Calvi. It was nighttime so we couldn't see much, but based on the elevation, large ...

... grounds for the hundreds of motorhomes that we see are really just dusty paddocks. Would be pretty depressing pulling into one of those every night. On the way to Calvi we are stopped on the road by French Customs. They wanted to see our "papers" - really, I thought that only happened in the movies. After answering numerous questions, "What are you smuggling?", "Have you worked illegally?", "What type of guns do you have in the back?" ...

... something special. We find the right road and drive up some very narrow, very windy roads to what seems to be (and turns out to be) the very top of a mountain. The hotel is indeed very special. He has outdone himself. It is luxurious++++!!!!! The view from every room, including our own spacious suite complete with terrace is to die for!!!! I want to stay here forever!!! It is designed to blend skilfully with the natural environment and there are stunning rock walls and beautiful ...
