... to the Buddha, half way up a lady asked Des if he maybe had a lighter, of course he did. As a thank you she gave us incense sticks (wierook stokjes) we had to lighten them, take 3 bows towards the Buddha and then make a wish, super sweet! Up on top there were 6 other statues of different Gods, all to honour the big Buddha in the middle. We had a walk round, had a look inside the statue, took some pictures and then walked back down again.

... and some grilled chilli prawns which were fantastic. My third day was a relaxed one. I had dim sum at a restaurant by the harbour in the cultural centre. It was ok but Dave made better dim sum the last time I saw him. Then I took the star ferry across to Hong Kong to explore that side. Monday I tried to do some siteseeing in Hong Kong. I met my roommate for the tour and we decided to go to Ngong Ping to see the Big Buddha. After queuing for tickets for half an hour we got in line to ride the cable car, a 25 minute ride to the village of Ngong Ping. ... I arrived in Manila. After a full day's work I rushed back to the office to pick up my final pay cheque. Quickly tried to call the hotel I was booked into that night. When booking last night it said they have an airport shuttle service from 6.30am-12.30am.
