    ... I'm sure plenty of people flock here for the film buzz, and those people are not interested in the Grand Prix down the road. It's a very different kind of energy around. They cafes are full of media savvy style conscious patrons, whereas in Monaco they are all wearing Red Bull of Ferrari gear.

    I went for the day trip with a family group of Aussies from my hotel. They didn't know their way around so I helped them find the train station ...

    Got up at 6.30 and went to breakfast on roof to. Checked out and walked to Station. Got earlier train. Went along moving platform. Lovely trip. Changed at Ventimelia and walk nearly to the sea. Saw pet shop. Train went right along Coast and thro tunnels. Stopped at Nice MonteCarlo Menton. All beautiful places. Walked from station to the hotel. rue Des Flauvettes.     ... time to stick my toes in the water. Dad had talked about how amazing the water is and that I had to give it a go so off I went down to the rocky shore.     ... to a bar for cocktails, which was a lovely time to catch up on the
    last 4 months. The next day being tired after the working week we slept in
    until 12 30pm! The weather wasn't too great so we decided to head to Monaco/Monte
    Carlo. It cost us 17euro return which was not bad and the train journey was
    spectacular between Nice and Monaco, as it travels along the coast and through

    ... the scenic coast roads in the Greek Islands. Our arrival in Cannes brought back horrible memories of the day before – wall to wall traffic and nowhere to park. We didn’t hang about but drove back and went to a lovely lake inland which was easy to park at, offered great swimming and few people.
