Evans we drove by a pretty cool drag strip, Bandemere Speedway, that was nestled in the mountainside. We took I-70 West to the Evergreen Parkway and up Hwy 103. Hwy 103 was pretty scary and I lost cell phone reception pretty quickly. It&#8217;s a 2 lane winding highway in the mountains and its very narrow ...

So I&#8217;m not sure what these girls are drinking but if Squeaky Fromme and C Manson started a 14er commune these girls would have been disciples, they have drank from the hiking well and I really don&#8217;t think we can cure them without shock treatment and a 12 step program, that being said I would hike with these wonderful women anytime I just will have to adjust the shock collar so we can park closer.

We spent the rest of the afternoon/evening exploring the shops in the Vail Village-which is an adorable German architecture looking resort town. Our resort offered a free shuttle service (departing at 9:00 am) to Leadville so that we could take the 10:30am Leadville, Colorado &amp; Southern Railraod to the top of the mountain and then tour the town. It was perfect weather for the outing and I enjoyed the panoramic views during the<br>ride on the railroad. Afterwards we had lunch at Callaway ...

The color of the ground with the sun shining on all the mountains and ridges and formations gave it this beautiful glow - never seen a view quite like that from a plane.
