... I admit it was cold but the stuff we saw was really neat. The rain was kinda on and off the whole time. Seeing that Old Faithful had started steaming more then usual we headed right over to wait for fifteen minutes. Soon about fifty more people had gathered and after that about thirty more. ... 6 years ago. They are wonderful girls and they played so nicely with our boys. It's been far too long since we connected with the Duncans but it was as if no time at all had passed! They treated us to a tasty and warming soup dinner. We urged them to come visit us in CT soon!!

Tomorrow we head South and expect we will be driving into warmer weather. It will be nice to escape the city and get back to the rural and raw natural beauty of the West.

... fancy ranches. We stopped at a highway rest area and had lunch at the Crazy Cow Cafe. Delicious chicken salad, it was great to eat fresh food. As we got closer to Salt Lake City the traffic on the south bound was at a crawl as this weekend marks the end of summer with the Labour Day long weekend. The north bound wasn't too bad and eventually we turned off to head out to Park City.

So today was pretty ******, weather wise. We planned on going snowboarding at snowbird bright and early, but it was scheduled to rain all day. Yippee. But luckily, Utah isn't just reserved for snow sports and being miserable in the cold. There are so many cool things to do within a 30 minutes drive of the outskirts of inner city salt lake.
