    ... had an invite to join our turkish neighbours for coffee. Spent a nice half hour chatting as best we could. It seems the man of the house is an ex policeman, but now is involved with police welfare. They have a house in Lefkosia but like coming here to Buffavento village for the peace and quiet.     ... silted over and became unusable. The city was then abandoned.

    The city spread out over several square miles. Mom and I visited the gymnasium complex ruins and the theater, then hiked about a mile out to the Temple of Zeus, where only a few pieces remain. View my Runkeeper log of the walk back to the main complex from Temple of Zeus.

    ... out to the beach two days ago in Larnaca. The water was so warm, but was also cold enough to cool off the 100 degree weather!! We also walked around "Old Town" which is essentially the downtown area with many different stores and cafes (including McDonalds, Starbucks, and KFC...).
