We had tried to go to the beach to have our lunch, but when we got to Diana beach it was so windy and cold, and lacking life, that we decided to retreat back into the warmth of the mountain air.

... the "Green Line", the UN buffer zone, between the countries with it's abandoned buildings lying in ruins. Sadly one is not allowed to enter or take pictures of course.

So the "Turkish" Part: quite poor, very busy with tourists and touristy market stalls that sell fake brand items, but with a much more interesting atmosphere than southern Nicosia.
