... not hard to learn to swim in Crocks...
Tonight, to make up, after some icy-cold Proseco, Treas cooked a superb fresh trout, with salad, some chilled local white, and a little Amaretto as a night-cap. Nice!
I like it here and I think we might stay for a few days before we return good old Dulcie to ...

... Galibier, we were mightily relieved to get to the summit in the dry and sunny weather, and descend in the relative warmth of the June sunshine. Unlike the other cols further north, there was no snow at the summit.

We stopped in an unwelcoming cafÚ at the other end of the tunnel, to drink hot chocolate and get some more layers on. Setting off again in the rain, it didn't seem to get any ...

... fashioned, but comfortable enough. Once checked in and showered we walked around the village to weigh up our evening meal options. There weren't many! We found a small bistro, just about the only place open on a cold, damp Monday evening, and ordered pasta, cep, a pitcher of local wine and some chocolate roulade to finish.

We wanted to make an early start the next day as we had a 100 km to cycle, including a lot of climbing, so we were early to ...
