After 5 and a half years i returned to Spilinga. I had a flight from Amsterdam to Rome then Rome to Lamezia Terme.. Funny enough i ran into my friends mother who was traveling home to Spilinga as well. In the winter the town is the definition of ghost town. You walk from where we live which is at the beginning of the town to the end in a matter of minutes. If you walk in the town and an old lady or ...

... and Bruna Caicco from Cambridge. Gino is my mom's first cousin and she talked about him always but I had never met him. It was great to connect here in Cleto and I promised to look them up back in Canada. They are lovely people and just couldn't do enough for us when we went over today.
So our last night together included FaceTime with Iain, Meghan, Rose and Uncle Leo. The marvels of technology, according to Zia Isolina!! I am so glad ...

... and dancing. Even my aunts got into the spirit and joined the conga line and were constantly being dragged in to dance. Truth be told, I think they loved it!! The wonderful thing here is that families attend these things, so you have children dancing with their siblings, their cousins, parents and grandparents. It was wonderful to watch and be part of. A young man I didn't even know dragged me into a conga line!! My cousin Antonio was in his glory. I don't know how many ...
