      ... like Tony (as in Amalfi coast drive Tony) was driving us today Larry was so cool and relaxed. Through no fault of his we were stuck in a 40 minute line up waiting for the tunnel out of Sorrento. accidents in close quarters take time to clear. We did not know the equivalent of the 730 AM radio report for the Vancouver traffic . And anyhow there is really one main route out if you don't dip up and down along the coast.

      ... so much! Also, not only is the touch screen unit on the backs of the seats pretty short on choices, both mine and Rob's are defective. Movies and TV shows play but the voices all sound like Donald Duck. So I sit here writing and listening to the playlist that Meghan and John loaded onto my ipad for me.

      We visited Zia Giaconda this morning and ended up staying for lunch. She had puréed tomatoes, made meatballs and ordered up some fresh bread in the hopes that we would stay. She said if I helped her, we could have pasta with meatballs and fresh tomato salad so I donned the apron she made me put on and did as I was told!       ... and dancing. Even my aunts got into the spirit and joined the conga line and were constantly being dragged in to dance. Truth be told, I think they loved it!!       ... and a bread made with "lievito madre". This literally means yeast of the mother and is yeast that has been continuously cultivated and renewed for over 100 years. They were given some 6 years ago when the restaurant opened and they add to it every day to keep it active. If the person that does this is on holidays, someone else is entrusted to take their place.
