Somewhat frustrating morning

... 6 and hopped on a 7am bus to Valencia, which is on the coast and the Mediterranean sea! We went to the beach both Friday and Saturday and it was beautiful! Mostly topless women, which was weird, but still a great place to be haha. We struggled to find food that was cheap and still tasted good, so we had some issues with the waiter at a restaurant and ended up paying 2.20 euro for a small bag of potato chips instead of french fries ...

... to spend most of the weekend at the beach, we wouldn’t see too much of Valencia.

There was some fun exercise equipment near the beach....Jenna and I spent some time testing out the equipment! I wish my gym back home would have had some of those machines!

Jenna and I ended up staying at the beach until around 7pm! Miraculously, neither one of us got sunburn even when we didn’t use any sunscreen...I had eaten my lunch around ...

... in the forehead with a well-aimed fast throw that actually made my head bounce a little, was the point at which we decided we were tomatoed-out. Adam shirtless, and me somehow retaining my 4 layers wandered the streets to find a local with a hose. The hour train trip back was enough to put you off tomatoes for life. Crammed to the rafters, I sat on the floor and slept with my head on my knees. I don’t think I’ve ever been so relieved to see a shower ...

... station for Spain, and once again, the food choices were nothing spectacular, and in comparison to the rest of the choices, quite expensive (8 Euros minimum for food as compared to 2-6 Euros elsewhere). This is a perfect representation of what we have seen elsewhere in Valencia: no super salient culture. That is not to say Spain, or its regions do not have culture, quite the opposite in fact.
