Traveling to Pattya

... Pen Rai. No problem. At the Bangkok airport, our bags did not show up so I left Tom to find the bags and I went out to see if I could talk to a ticket agent for Air China about extending Tom's departure date. I spent a frustrating hour without success at even being able to make a phone call to a representative, even with the help of three different passenger service agents. Their web site is totally unresponsive. Phone numbers do not wok. I would never travel with this ...

I went down to Walking St last night for a beer after I had eaten chicken and rice in an Arabic cafe come coffee house , got a few looks as i entered ,food was nice though. Walking St is very different at night. As the name infers it is closed to traffic after 18.00. Unfortunately the later seem to be very rude at times especially to the Locals. Perhaps ...

Disneyland of the Free Trade Zone

... have a lot of fun this trip. After hanging out with the boys for a bit me and a few friends walked the road parallel to the beach again down to the mall for dinner. It was a nice stroll and not too hot (thank goodness). After some delicious Thai food for dinner we walked back down the same street back to the hotel for packing time and a good nights rest before heading to Cambodia tomorrow.

Until next time!

... was right. It's not until you get quite close that you can start to tell (presuming of course you didn't already know they were Lady Boys) that they were in fact once blokes. To have you're photo taken with one demanded a tip of 40 baht or more which isn't a lot so a fair price. I noticed a couple of tourists tipping in excess of 500 baht and so they must make a killing in tips everyday especially when you consider they perform 3 ...

The grim but entertaining Pattaya!

... really pleased they didn't know about my little hideout!

That night we went to one of the "must do's" of Pattaya; Tiffany's lady boy cabaret show. I have to say that it wasn't as impressive as we'd hoped and to be honest was a little disappointing. The girls/boys looked amazing, especially the lead who admittedly looked like a beautiful woman. The pretence soon became less believable however, as when they started to mime and dance to music, it was obvious ...
