... airport via the train. So easy and handy. And, as today is hot, hot, hot, I'm appreciating the AC. The weather this summer in Geneva has been amazing and the 35+ temperatures should be good prep for what's to come! Sad to leave home (and Craig). When I get back, summer will be ...

... point anyway. The train went up an extremely steep incline at about 45deg angle up inside the mountain. When you got on to the train you had to walk up steps and go into the little carriage on that step. Then the train went straight up and when you got off you moved out to the steps and up to the exit. ... until bedtime.

I'm happy to report that after us looking in the evening we found the missing parts. I was quite happy about that discovery. Sadly no matter how much we looked the guard rail wasn't going to be magically fixed but better than nothing. One good thing is we had time to figure out the guard rail because we weren't going to use it right away. Plus it doesn't make the bed completely useless like we thought. So I guess a happy dance is in order because we got our stuff!

    Day 1: Rome

Today is our first day of exploring Rome. The plan for today is to see Colosseum, Pantheon and Trevi fountain. We found an apartment to stay while we were in Rome. We decided to try this route out because it allowed us to have separate rooms plus kitchen. If you have kids you understand the kitchen is handy to have and separate sleeping area for Riley means we don't have to sit in the dark in silence after he goes to bed. We were actually able to find something cheaper than a hotel ...
