... visit to Plitvice National Park. Thankfully after another very short boat ride and another half hour or so of walking, we made it back to the car and put the heat on. Although we did get some nice photos from today, we were all disappointed with how the weather affected our day. Our planned walk of 8 hours around the entire park ended up being about 4 hours. It's going to add an extra few hours to the trip but we think it is worth it.

Again the drive is quite spectacular - a mixture of craggy ridge lines, snow capped peaks, and broad flat valleys covered in a ...

... we started and it was about 5pm when we got back to the B&B for a shower. We'd hiked about 6 hours and 8km, which doesn't sound like much but going up and down those mountains definitely takes it out of you.

The lakes are in the mountains on the border of Bosnia so there isn't much there aside from the national park. Because of this we had dinner at the B&B, which was a home cooked dinner from one of the family members. We ...
