    ... pretty clear and the few times we did get clogged up on a road full of tourists were plenty harrowing enough. Interesting note, we passed a lot of mosques throughout the island, and heard prayers singing over invisible but ubiquitous speakers several times each day. Thailand is predominantly Buddhist, but there are large Muslim pockets scattered around the south of the country.

    we are off to the 4 islands tour that will last till 16h today. excited but a bit worried about the weather as it's still cloudy. it was supposed to be good according to the forecast. let's see, there's a bit of sun coming through the clouds. hopefully we'll make some good photos/videos. we are also with Mariano and his wife Florencia!     Arriving at Koh Lanta we had no idea what to expect, would it be too touristic would it be to expensive.. we had done very little research, but we had arranged a work away placement here.
    First impression were, well, impressive. Although it is evident that this island is well established with tourism it was also evident that they had done a good job with keep the authenticity of the place, it was charming. All down the main road that runs up from long beach were cute ...

    It's Heather with an update from our final Thai island, Ko Lanta. We took a somewhat scary ferry ride from Ko Phi Phi, but at least it was quick, about 1.5 hours. It is low season in Ko Lanta, so the ferry was small, not too many people heading that way. Our hotel had their shuttle pick us up at the pier and we were there in about 10 minutes.

    Since it was low season, lots of places were closed, but those that were open had great rates. We stayed in our own little bungalow ...

    So......it was finally holiday time and I should first make reference to my entry title......herbal toothpaste.
    We travel light, Mr T and I, so to avoid clear pastic bags and declaring fluids, pastes and liquids in our hand luggage, we decided to buy toiletries on arrival. We had taken the bus from Khon Kaen to Bangkok and then flown to Krabi. Well, I have seen toothpaste, white, sometimes stripey, ...
