This hotel was amazing. It was in a great part of Paris with a fantastic view of the Eiffel Towel. Our room was huge and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We will be going back!

Weather mild, overcast. Travellers on the road again. Packed up at John and Joan's house reluctantly and left lovely Montreal, in convoy behind them to Agen an hour away. We left our Renault Megane at Avis near the station and put our bags in J and Js car. Agen is quite a big town with lots of great places to eat. We really needed yet another big three-course French lunch (!!!) so ...

At dinner Snails were on the menu so we had to try them. Order six in garlic butter, they look so horrible, little black shrivelled things, not much taste but all I could think of was ...

... real looking. Loved the Louvre and could easily spend more time there. Covered the 1st and 2nd floor. Lunch time called. I know I said it before but once again Oh My Gosh the food was fantastic. Salmon and potatoes on a bread roll with lettuce and tomato. Then a chocolate eclair that melted in your mouth and left a delightful taste for a long time after. I love French food. Notre Dame Cathedral, what an impressive and ...

... on the Second World War and how Paris managed to survive that. After the tour we headed to the Musee 'dorsay to see the impressionists exhibition (featuring Monet, Degas) as well as some of VanGough's famous works. But nonetheless I listened intently to our French macaroon expert and ...
