... five months since I was last employed. Right now, the idea of being in a Monday-Friday routine is more foreign to me than the country I'm currently in. There's nothing really left to do but wake up and go for it. Fingers crossed.


PS - There's an odd smell coming from the sink in our hotel room. Best case scenario it's just mould, worst case scenario something has died in the walls. It's probably a good thing we're checking out ...

Glenda was picked up at the hotel at 7 for her tour of champagne and I had Paris. I had originally planned to go to Versailles but I only had 2 days left and hadn't wandered and explored yet without a plan. It had rained over night and while overcast it was now dry and mild. ... when it is raining? Shop of course. Al found "a dream come true" when we stumbled across a massive Kookai store. My dreams were much more easily achieved, on almost every street. Pastries, chocolates, sweets, everywhere! Ha-ha!

We visited the Musée du Parfum. We stumbled across a wonderful cafe called Le Pain Quotidien. We got saturated as we huddled under an umbrella when the heavens decided to open up.
