... The conductor put his window down and started yelling in German. I just said Idar and he goes yes and started yelling in German again. I hoped on and so nervous the whole hour ride hoping I was on the right train. Thankfully I was and arrived in Idar. I don’t know what I would of done if I missed that train. I waited 10 minutes and Katie picked me up. After her phone GPS took us some weird way, we finally made it home.

All and all, I really enjoyed Paris. ...

... is kind of anti-climactic when you see it after all the praise it gets, and it was also impossible to get a good picture because of all the people. Across from the Mona Lisa is the biggest painting in the Louvre which we both found more impressive. We then headed to the Egypt and Roman history areas and we were both amazed how old some of the artifacts were. Some go further back from Christ than we are forward. Some date from 2000-3000 years B.C. ...

Early start today as we make our way to Beune in Burgundy. On the way we stopped at Avignon a town with a beautiful old town behind medieval stone walls. We wandered around for a couple of hours......see photos. It was then another long drive to Beune. A stop at a roadside petrol station was a breeze compared to the Italians ones previously.
