... The tour guide said: "No matter where you stand near it, you will see Mona Lisa's smile from any point of view." The tour guide also introduced us to a portrait of a banker. This painting was done in the same method making the smile of the portrayed visible from any angle. It is therefore called the man's version of Mona Lisa.

... we had 3 taxis stuffed to the top with all our luggage. Since we got there early, we wrestled our way through security easily then had about an hour before boarding. We were in coach nine which is first class. The seats were very comfortable with tables. They served us lunch as we went under the English Channel.

... food is good. The girls were ecstatic, and first up was the bungy thingy. After about ten minutes of wild bouncing, illy started to look a bit pale and said "Mum get me out of here, I feel sick" and by the time we got her unhooked it was all too late and she threw up all over herself, and all over me. Brilliant, covered in vomit at 10 am. Luckily it was a top which I could remove and use to wipe the worst of it off Milly, and we bought €3 bottles of water to wash ...

... with lots of people, then caught the Metro back to Bastille.

It has been another lovely day doing new things and revisiting formerly seen places. There is always something to see just when walking. Tomorrow we will see where we go, maybe a museum, then we catch up with a friend of Claire's now living and working here as a photographer.

We hope Melbourne's weather is now 'much more betterer', as the kiddos say!
