... They are all patronised by the thousands of Chinese who cross the border to gamble and shop. Macau is a small peninsula joined to China by a 300m wide isthmus. This was where the Portuguese landed and settled 500 years ago. The two other islands the Portuguese had are Taipa where the ferry comes in and the airport is, and Coloane. Since 1997, China has reclaimed the land between these two islands to create one new island called Cotai. This is where most of the new development ...

Today we decided to take advantage of the return cable car tickets which we got with our Viator voucher. We were a little bit later today than we planned as we slept in, so we had missed the breakfast buffet at the hotel but they still offered unlimited toast, croissants and tea for HK$48 (3.60) so we grabbed our travel marmite and had our fill.

The good news is my case has turned up.

The story continues from last night. On Monday we came across a night time market/open air karaoke event on our way home from the harbour light show. Well we had to go and see it again when we weren't cross eyed with tiredness. Mission accomplished we turned a corner to find a young boy playing a baby grand piano in the middle of the street, and a few feet further along a six foot carp was dancing along to a karaoke singer singing the famous Animals song, and of course Grandpa ...
