Our dinner was also PHENOMENAL. I had never seen or heard of Raclette before, but it's a do-it-yourself style dinner where you put anything you want on a miniature pan and cook it underneath a small stove until the cheese fully melts onto everything you want it to. I was in heaven it was so good. The night also consisted of christmas carols (in German of course) and some dice/card games, some German which I learned, and some American games which I got to teach ...

... I cleared customs and were on our way to the S train/subway to get to Frankfurt City. The streets were deserted as it was early morning. My day began at about 3:45 a.m. or actually much earlier because although I set my alarm to get up with enough time to take a shower before leaving for the airport, I was certain I had set the alarm wrong, had set it for p.m. instead of a.m. or would sleep right through it. We arrived in Frankfurt, grabbed our luggage and headed for the rental car. I guess it was an omen of things to come when we couldn't figure ...

... filling after a long day of traveling. An American family came in and just complained about everything and fought with each other. It kind of killed the atmosphere. After dinner, I walked along the town walls that surrounded the city. It was quiet except for the sounds of a distant carnival where a band was playing “Country Roads.” It was cloudy, but it cleared a little for at least a partial ...
