... south Tehran is poor... And more. All in a 20 minutes and well worth the fare.
The rental car has sat nav, thank goodnes. However, we are now on pretty familiar turf. We headed off to Bad Homburg for lunch at our favourite potato restaurant. Now we are in Usingen at one of our favourite little hotels, the Kaminstube and are meeting our friends, Adelheid and Joachim for supper.
We arrive in Frankfurt around 11:00 a.m. David gets instructions on and where to take the train into the city. As we ride along I noticed that the color of the leaves are now turning yellow and orange. The country side is just beautiful. The part of the city that we saw was mapped out like a
big mall. No traffic! You can walk in every direction and not have to cross a street. MY feet are holding up as we are going ...

Frankfurt was hot, in the mid-30's, so lingering in our non-AC-equipped hotel room any longer than necessary was not an option. We headed to the river and circled back through the main square in the old part of the city. We found a traditional German restaurant with a shady patio and had a very good dinner, a chat with some Aussie ...
... to its wings. Several other people stood around me with their cameras clicking away. I was impressed by the airbus size to say the least but even more by its colors! They were my favorite ones…..purple and pink!
The airline’s flight attendants, all Thais, arrived soon afterwards and greeted one another with a "wai"! ...
... were already up! The drive into the city centre was a nightmare and I began checking the next trains on my smartphone. Luckily I bought a day ticket which meant I could catch any regional trains.
I ended up jumping out of the car halfway because it was quicker walking! I raced down to the subway and caught the train to the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, where I JUST caught the train heading towards Siegen. It actually would have been better if I had missed it. I only ...
