Lovely, sunny weather as we travel south toward the coast of France on the Gulf of Gascony. We skirted the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. We are on the western side of the Pyrenees which form a natural boundary between France and Spain. After we crossed the border into Spain we stopped for morning tea. Used our new language 'gracias'. We could see the Atlantic. As we travel along ...

... is widowed and her husband was a diplomat in Spain. They have a nice apartment on Avendia de Ameríca, about a 10 minute walk from the college. I am living with one other student from Endicott, Dom, and a girl from North Carolina, Vanessa. My host mom is Dolores and she is very nice. I peeked in the Mosque baths, where the people would perform the ceremonial cleaning before entering the mosque (which was dismantled to build the church and palace of Charles V after the conquering of Granada by Los Reyes Catolicos). I saw the church, which was ok but not that great, and then went ...

Getting to Madrid

... I also watched parts of Frozen (which I've already seen) and slept.I've had pretty good impressions of Heathrow so far. I didn't have to go through customs because I'm not actually going to be leaving the airport. They did have some weird thing where all your liquids have to fit in a SMALL plastic bag (instead of the gallon-size d one the US allows), which I barely passed. My flight doesn't have a gate yet so I'm just hanging out. I got through security and ...
