First of all, the last 2-3 months have been most volatile regarding weather ... especially the last month. We've experienced dramatic swings in temperature in a single day. For example, 78 degrees in one day and the next day down in the low 20's! We've seen light snow, freezing rain, high winds and abundant sunshine ... sometimes all in one day! Our Hill Country weekend began Thursday night at the Baylor / Oklahoma football game at Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco. Our Bears broke open a close game late in the first half and ran away with a convincing 41-12 win over the Sooners in front of a sold out crowd and nationally televised audience.

Up very early this morning to plan my trip. I wanted to plan to stay off of I-30. I found a route and ask the lady at the desk how to get to the highway from there. Well she was sweet but sure over did it a bit. Anyway turns out I-30 was an great way to go for a while. It wasn't busy at all so the need for speed just wasn't there.
