Today's the day I leave for New York. It's all here, finally. I felt like it would be a great time to update the blog.

I have been so overwhelmed with love these past few weeks. I am so grateful to be surrounded by such supportive, uplifting, loving people. I feel so blessed. I'm not a religious person, but I can't think of a better way to put it, I'm so blessed. Through all the apprehension over the past month, my friends and ...

... we decided that takeout would be faster than the 30-45min wait to get seated. When we got back to our hotel, we uncovered some of the most amazing seafood anywhere for a measly $30. We had: - stuffies, chopped up local clams baked in their shells with breadcrumbs and seasonings - raw oysters and littlenecks, YUM! - clam cakes, disappointing balls of tasteless fried dough - Kung Pow calamari, absolutely the yummiest, most delicious calamari ever. ...

      Planning: Great Smoky Mountains

... I, II, and III rapids on the Nantahala White Water River. You’ll navigate the full river from the put-in past Patton’s run through the Nantahala Falls. If you feel like you want to run the full river, but the Nantahala Falls still sends chills up your spine, pull over at the Scouting Pad just above the falls and hop out. If the rest of the group wants to give it a shot, you ...
