Scheduled for departure on 8/8/14 and this time we're off to Prague to begin our first visit to the more eastern reaches of Europe.
Hopefully, I'll have a little more time to share our explorations with you here. For now, it's time to dive into packing!
... that I am only allowed to work for the Uni (which isn't a problem). So why do I want a SSN? Well I have my money in a bank here and I am not allowed to have a debit/credit card associated with that account without a SSN (or an ITIN). So I have to get organised and go into the bank to withdraw money. It is really only about convenience - no biggy really. So after that I needed some retail therapy to help dissolve my annoyance of travelling ...
... a Douglas A-4 Skyhawk, which I flew in flight school, as well other planes like P-51 Mustangs, DeHavilland DH-5 Buffaloes, countless T-28s and T-34s, and a variety of the more common military trainers.One of the most impressive planes was a Curtis Jenny that was "naked" (not covered), which showed its beautiful woodwork and metal fixtures.
After making the rounds of the Warbirds, I took Alex for a decent lunch in the Warbird ...
... road, dotted line (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 – eyes cross again), trucks (oh geeeeez, more road kill), (look up) clouds. I’ve been able to make out clouds in the form of a duck, an angel and Chester Cheetah (perhaps a brain pattern correlated directly to my cheesy breakfast) – surprising and yet somewhat exciting. Never know what’s going to happen next…..
... reason. It was hard to trust the fuel gauge at times.
