... based natural beauty. The petrified forest was cool, as was the painted desert, but the Grand Canyon definitely earns its natural wonder status, especially when viewed before 7, because screw all the crowds at high season. Two cups of coffee and a couple of downloaded albums later and we're gasping in the dry heat as we hand over the keys to the valet guy in Phoenix. Which was an experience, as was the ...

Next stop was to Phil’s foot doctor to have one of his orthotics reglued. His dr has a nasty receptionist. She would not let him talk to the dr and refused to put the dab of glue on it. ... wide and recently repaved so Corey felt comfortable driving them.

We packed a picnic and were hoping we could easily find a spot to stop and eat. There were lots of awesome looking places and roads that looked like they would lead us to something but pulling a 30 foot trailer made it a lot more difficult to just pull over and kind of scary to turn down a road we weren’t sure we were going to be able to get back ...
