... I had been told by an American friend of mine that this part of Florida was 'white-trash', but I have to admit, we don't always share the same opinions.

We had been upgraded to first class on the flight from Charlotte, North Carolina to Pensacola and were well into the holiday spirit. Workman met us at the airport and it was great to see her again, she was as fun as ever. It was hot and sunny and ...

'Member I posted early yesterday? I should've known better than that! I really couldn't tell you how many times I've stayed here at the Gulf Shores Plantation, but I'd never ever seen the swamp! Larry and Josh discovered it, behind the tennis courts, when they were out rambling around. It's actually rather beautiful. The first photo I'm going to post reminds me of an Impressionist painting by Monet. Carl the heron has ...

Camping on a barrier island.

A travel blog entry by huppwits on Feb 08, 2013

We had another lovely driving day. Very short albeit but we're liking it that way.

Today was FloraBama day. Leslie and Al said this bar was a must see so we went to see. Cool spot indeed. About six different stages for music. Bars everywhere. Beach access. Kind of nice to see it while it's fairly ...
