    ... the
    olds cannot keep them maintained anymore. Sad really. During the Genoese
    occupation here, it was the wealthiest area of Corsica.

    Tomorrow evening, we take the boat to Toulon and when we
    wake, we will be in mainland Europe, ready for the next leg.

    ... Corsica, as it's his old one, and is on its last legs. Or should I say wheels anyway. My right pedal had been giving me some dramas on our way uphill, into the little villages the other day, John said it was bent, and maybe the thread was stripped.     Saturday Today we were back on the bikes again, heading up the coast towards the northern tip of Corsica. It was a lovely windy road a bit like the Great Ocean Road, though a little less dramatic, with patches of shade, little villages and desert.     ... we found yet another great restaurant and sat on breezy terrace overlooking the crystal clear water. We sampled some more local specialities including wild boar and chestnut fondant. And the local aperitif called Cap Corse is pretty good as well.

    Oh and did I mention the awesome two bedroom apartment that we stayed in which is ultra modern, exceptionally comfortable and spacious, with sea glimpses and a pretty little outdoor garden area ...
