Into Corsica, the unknown

Our destination after departing Bastia is Corte: the 'heart and soul of Corsica' (as described by Lonely Planet). At around 450m altitude in central-ish Corsica, the plan is to stay at Corte several nights and do some walking in the surrounding mountains. But first a little touring.
