The holiday came to an end and although Manchester Airport had to close for one day while we were away due to snow, Kittila Airport stayed open the whole week even though we had had a metre of snow!! The hotel ...

Thursday was a day of rest; we had no activities planned at all. We explored the ski slopes (from the bottom) took a load of photographs of the place, frequented more coffee shops and of course the Pannukakkutalo Pancake House for more pancakes. We also found a nice little cake and pastry shop that we just had to try called the Café and ...

... Rudi settled into a nice relaxing gentle trot, until we reached the forest. Rudi then decided that she wanted to catch her mate up and so proceeded into a gallop. I went into a full panic mode and started shouting slow down boy, slow down boy, no need to rush, go at your own pace. This fell on deaf ears, probably because it was a female reindeer and I was shouting boy at her!! Eventually she caught her mate and all was calm. We settled back down and enjoyed ...
