The holiday came to an end and although Manchester Airport had to close for one day while we were away due to snow, Kittila Airport stayed open the whole week even though we had had a metre of snow!! We boarded the plane in Kittila Airport and took off on an ice rink once again. Manchester, UK here we come!!

The end of a holiday of a lifetime. We were sad to leave the country of 'Lakes and Forests', but one day I know we will return for another Finnish ...

When we arrived at the Snow Village, we were greeted by friendly staff. We waited ...

Apparently the reindeer's personality is matched with the rider's. A bit like in Harry Potter when the wand choses the wizard. ... recommend them to anybody.

Welcome meeting over, we went into Levi to explore the local town and area. Levi, Finland is located 150km North of the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland (close to Santa's house). It is a ski resort and although we were not skiing, there was plenty for non-skiers to do. It was a lovely little town with lots of souvenir shops, cafes and restaurants. The Pannukakkutalo Pancake House
