We had a whale of a time!

... living room, bedrooms etc. I loved it there! After we'd found a bed, which was hard in the dark when some people were already sleeping, we went to the pub which was fully equipped with a bonfire and guitar. Loads of other assistants were there being merry and we hung around for a while catching up with each other and sharing experiences so far!

The next day was the Zodiac Experience. We excitedly put on the very fetching over trousers equipped with braces and the orange ...

Walbeobachtungstour

The Whales

... today but they came pretty close and were really having fun. The trip ended with a tour into the Fiord which was a real bonus as I was pretty keen to see it from the sea. Once again spectacular! There was a waterfall 200m high and the captain said they sea depth was the same at that point and 300m in the middle. The tour finished at lunch time and we were frozen through (thanks to a small amount of rain) so it was straight to a cafe for soup and bread ...

Lac St Jean to Tadoussac

... look around the general zoo but the big
attraction here is a train that takes an hour and covers about 7km
through the forest and 'plains'. It is incredibly well done following
through the history of Canada, early settler farms, lumber jacks,
inuit, the big fire they had etc. At each place there were different
animals and quite large herds of 30 or more bison, huge wapiti, there
are 26 black bears roaming around and I think we saw at least half of
them. The bears ...

Quebec City to Riviere du Loup

... d tough it out. We had thought about taking the ferry to Levis but decided the highway might be quicker. Well the traffic going into the city center was heavy in spots but we made our way across the suspension bridge to the south shore of the St. Lawrence. We ran into a little more traffic into Levis but were onto clear roads by 8:35 am. We drove east along Hwy 2 towards Riviere du Loup. Before we hit the city, Maud told us to take the bypass which we did, completely bypassing the city.

St-Georges Fun and the Wolf River Party!

From a student St-Georges Thursday where we partied with our resident Quebec neighbour`s (one of who was celebratin her 18th birthday!) we decided come the weekend to head up North again to Riviere-du-Loup or as we prefer "River of the Wolf"! There are a few assistants up there who very kindly decided to throw a bit of a party and so we packed our bags ...
