As we sat at our table we were offered a welcome drink of sparkling wine, the rest of the evening was a gastronomic lobster themed meal, each course beautifully presented, portion sizes were as expected with such a meal (thankfully small as it was 5 courses). ... day of relaxation but not before I take myself on a little walk. Today I turned eight out of the hotel and up the hill on a narrow road, I don't think it is a road that has access as only 1 or 2 cars passed me. A couple of cyclists but they had to dismount as the hill got steeper.
I took my time admiring the view and could see the hotel swimming pool in the distance but no sign of David, he must be on the other side.
... How times have changed.
The shower soon passed, back to my book, The Thread by Victoria Hislop, set in Thessaloniki so a good holiday read.
Hope you are not getting too bored with our daily activities, or lack of ! Maybe I should have set the blog for one week, i.e. the cruise.
We are quite happy to spend our time relaxing - being retired is an energetic past-time!
... quiet, or maybe some guests thought it better to be off sightseeing in view of the weather first thing.
I thought I was addicted to the local orange pudding cake but today decided I'm hooked on a delicious Greek yoghurt & fresh peach dessert, oh I forgot to mention it also includes honey Mmmmm.
Another wander, a swim, catch up on iPad the days are relaxing but the hours soon zip by, guess because I am busy doing nothing !
... of activities today but this was to be the relaxing part of our holiday and my fingers are getting lots of excercise tapping away on this blog.
The white puffy clouds are a little less fluffy and starting to become tinged with grey but the sun is shining still & it's about 27degrees so no complaints.
We have a classical trio performing this evening so should be another relaxing evening.
