My friend Gump and I are 4 days away from partaking in a 5 day road trip to Winnipeg. The idea came to us a year ago, when we observed that mid October is the perfect storm for the sports we love. NHL is in full bloom. Canadian and American football are slugging it out from Thursday to Monday. and baseball playoffs are down to ...

Mobile Internet is great because we could confirm it was open until 5pm – which was going to allow us an hour. We used most of that time, looking at various exhibits and reading the boards. The memorial outside was moving, with over 10,000 Canadian names listed who had died while serving in Bomber Command.

... going up those steep roads. We noticed that gas started getting low (half tank) and we attempted to look for gas stations. As we were off the main highway headed to Glacier National, there were only smalls towns of 50 people around and no gas stations to be seen. We drove until we found a small town called Ovando only to discover that the only gas station was closed since 5 pm, 45 mins before we got there. We asked some locals where the nearest gas station ...
