    ... nothing else was wonderful.

    Back down in the port, the elite French SAS train in zodiacs, being upturned and then timed getting back into them....all in full fatigues with helmets and guns. One could potentially get into difficulties whilst bathing in the bay, and require rescuing, one supposes......

    ... New York, a couple from Derbyshire, two women from Brighton, a guy from Essex and the tour guide Dylan's dad, ranging in age from about 40 to 60+. We had a quick spin along the beach front, weaving in and out between people, small dogs and random street furniture. It's always a nervous time seeing who's super fit. Some of the folk were very quick but I know they are not always the ones who make it to the end.

    ... a 4 lane highway,.. with trucks, semi-trailers, cars, buses,... you name it,.. all doing 100kph,.. the weirdest thing took place. Up ahead we saw tail lights come on,.. lots of them,.. and 2 semi-trailers swerve and slam on brakes (they were in the middle lanes). As we got closer, more cars, and buses were swerving and braking,.. and suddenly, there was the problem.     Friday June 21
    late start today due to car problems for instructor.
    eventually got going at half ten.mostly boat handling in the morning ,berthing etc big boat so some inertia and prop walk. thats where the stern slides out to starboard under power. interesting stuff. then a sandwich, drink and in the afternoon we set sail for some berth practice then out in the bay for a ...
