Maria, Maria, Maria! The Best Guide in Girona!

... sights to see for the afternoon.

I was also fortunate to attend the local "Sant Narcis Fires i Festes" the patron saint festival of Girona. Maria and I walked through the incredibly beautiful Parc de la Devesa, a massive never ending "Narnia like" forest of incredibly tall deciduous trees. Within this forest, as the leaves were just beginning to change colour and fall, was the local fair with all the rides and kids attractions!

We left Carcassonne and set off back towards Montpellier then south to Spain. Another "decathlon" stop en-route as we are running short on gas and decided to buy another portable gas cooker. We very nearly stayed in the carpark over night to put off the journey back. We decided to leave Cadaques and make the 2 and a half hour journey to Berger that day rather than on Saturday. After getting back over the Cadaques road the roads were delightful. That lasted about an hour and ...

This however was is Badalona a fair way across barcelonas busy motorways and ring roads. Driving on the wrong side of the road through manic narrow tunnels, threw us in the deep end. Will only clipped one sign so pretty good going. We ended up in ikea and not buying any garden ...
