... chalet for changeover being an hour closer. Well we got as far as Condom this time before learning that the next lock was broken so we can go no further. So having done a day of 15 locks to get this far, we decided to stay for a few days around changeover and the trip was indeed an hour less. The river to be honest is quite boring, a horrid muddy colour from the soil washed off the fields and quite low down so we are unable to see the surrounding land. Condom ...
... we must have looked the ideal posh guests ha ha.
Shown to room where showered and I crashed for a small sleep. Down to the pool and a swim followed by total relaxation and another sleep for me. Finally came right changed for dinner into our crinkly clothes and sat enjoying the 30deg plus heat with a large beer. Lights out Stuffed!!!

I think we are about 35 or so locks from Toulouse and still going up, our altitude at present is somewhere more than 150m above sea level, we reach max, alt adout twenty miles past Toulouse I think.
I will try to download some more pictures this evening for thoseof you who have mentioned that we should post more pictures. There are a few technicial problems to dealwith which I am working on!
... explains it all as well. They also have a restaurant here; as it is Sunday it was closed unfortunately, however the shop has an array of pre-cooked tinned or bottled fare. We bought a delicious cassoulet of duck for dinner (we had purposely run down our supplies on the boat so that we didn't have to transport a lot of food) as well as some other delicacies.
A wee bit of planning for the next couple of days over happy hour, then an early night all round.
