... in Lyon. These are passageways between streets. They date back to the 4th century and were established by silk makers and other merchants to move their goods quickly around the town. Apparently there are hundreds of these in Lyon, and the city is famous for them. We see a tour group going through a door off a street and assume that this probably leads into a traboule. We managed to find a patisserie for our daily cake (Michelle had to get 6 of the cake she chose). We were back at the boat by 11.45 and the boat left Lyon at 12.30. While we were waiting for lunch (1.15pm today) we are our cakes. Michelle ate all 6 of hers. Today I had what ...

Up early this morning for breakfast etc so we can get to the TdF start at Givors about 20kms south of Lyon.

Another perfect weather forecast ahead!!

Louise drove us in the VW Golf. and found a parking spot easily the minute we turned into Givors. First mission cracked!!

Next up was to find a possie on the fence prior to the TdF Caravan coming through.

Our first spot was a beauty, not crowded at all...only trouble was that the ...
