... place is at the end of the red line. It's about a 5-10min walk from the nearest train station and thereafter another 30min climb to the summit. Visibility was good even at night so it's safe to come here after the sun sets. In fact you should come here at night to enjoy the scenery. This spot gives you the best possible view of Taipei and definitely should not be missed.

... We spent a good 2.5 hours there and had a quick bite at the cafe with Pam and David. We wandered off to the gardens for half an hour, lots of water and humungous carp that were being fed by the resident black swan. The swan puts its head into the food trough, then dunks its head in the water, releasing food to the waiting fish at its feet. Interesting symbiotic relationship.
