    ... American and Italian on holiday in Europe, ......and us......wanted to see it that day, although I suspect that this traffic really is the norm....
    So, we headed off towards Toulon but time sort of beat us so we searched for a camp site and lucked into one near Hyeres.

    We had been advised that Sanary-sur-Mer, just the other side of Toulon, has a "must see" harbour, and this turned out to be the case- it was as far as we were concerned the jewel in the crown for this segment of our travels.
