... snow and failed to make a snowman. I learned that once the wonder and awe had worn off a tiny bit, Adriana became a completely ruthless snow monster. I had snow smashed straight into my face multiple times, and had it running flipping freezing down my back and other unmentionable places by the end of the day thanks to her. I got her back a few times but there was no matching her! We also got to watch the few very lucky skydivers who had a tiny window to jump from the helicopter landing ...

... walk. However the track is uneven with rocks and steps then levels out for a short while. (GR is powering through the Nurofen as a result of some of the walks!)

We had some sliding portions and some hiking that was still terrifying because one could easily lose their footing and ...

... revealing an amazing sight of the valley below with the small river running through it. Just beautiful. We had arrived in Stechelberg. We were going to walk alongside the river but it was too wert so we caught the bus to Trummelbach falls instead. So hard to believe that people actually live here. I’d love to know if they’re all farmers or do they work in the city?

The Trummelbach falls are inside a mountain and they have carved tunnels and stairs into ...

    ... way.

Anyway, conquered the pass and headed for Italy, Aosta to be exact as that was the next practical spot to cross through rather than over the mountains. I had seen enough of th ehigh mountain passes for one day and craved the tunnels through mountain type of road for a while. In one of these tunnels I passed into Italy and then found a room in the Alpine village of Morgex yet another cute as a button village along the road.
