pretty it was too. The lake nearby had a lot of small fish in it.

After a slow walk back the rest of the day was spent on housework

Eventually we arrived at Noiraigue from where we walked back
to Boudry through the most amazing gorge. The weather was perfect and the walk

Apparently today is going to be a day off, a slow relaxing
    day………….what 217;s that?

With a hot day threatening we set off on the bicycles in the
opposite direction to the previous day to explore Lake Biel and its surrounds.
Our first target was to head out onto a long spit of land that runs from Erlach
into the middle of the lake called St. Peterinsel. Apparently the peninsular
was originally an island but at some period when ...

... We took a late train back to Fribourg.. but before bed we were treated to a Crème brûlée.. homemade by Manuel.. and it was good. As Manuel said.. 'It should be good. This is what I do for a living!' Manuel is a chef by trade.. a master of French and Swiss cuisine.

Not long after our sweet indulgence it was time for bed. We needed a good nights sleep for we had yet another big day ahead of us..
