It was now 11am and the tourists were getting hungry for food...and shopping. From here we broke into groups so as to see more of the sites of Bern as well as the shops. Mc Donalds was a popular stop as it had (very expensive) food as well as a bathroom, and H &M (there were 3 in Bern) was, as usual, popular ...

From here we caught a cable car part-way up the mountain and then began the trek to our lunch destination – the village of Mürren. we set off on a short walk to observe the Le Saut-Du- Doubs waterfall. Very
pretty it was too. The lake nearby had a lot of small fish in it.

After a slow walk back the rest of the day was spent on housework
        and ...

... by a lake. The setup was rather strange as the site had mainly residential mobile homes and the facilities including chargeable showers were outside of it and seemed to be used by other people. There was a small restaurant/shop opposite and another restaurant closer by the lake. So we decided to stay on a large car park by the campsite overnight but found out in the morning that we were not supposed to and received some head shaking ...

We were nursing sore heads today!

What a night! The Swiss people know how to party! We slept until 3pm.. almost a whole day wasted.. but not entirely. With recommendations from Manuel.. we went by train to a couple of lakeside destinations.. Lausanne and Montreux. Check out the photos to get an idea of just how beautiful these places are. I have no words.

In Lausanne.. we passed an old church that was ...
