Traveling from Chamonix to Lake Annecy we went through some breathtaking views through the Alps. The city is quite gorgeous, a favorite Lakeside destination for French families in summer. Leaving our lovely apartment in Lyon, we said farewells to our excellent host Carole and sped off down the A47 to Chambery. We had had a terrific time in exploring the tip of the iceberg of Lyon, walking many kilometres of enchanting streets, wandering in and out of many shops, galleries museums and frequenting many of the bars, cafes and restaurants.
