... seems different in the photographs - you can change the people, the clothing and the agricultural methods, but the countryside and the buildings are very familiar. Perhaps this timelessness is the charm of Provence...

After the museum, the students hit the markets in town for a quick shop before meeting the Mayor at the civic centre. He very graciously showed us the premises. It's an interesting mix of former medieval church and ...

    ... sun on the cliffs.
We met our host Pascal and he showed us to our accommodation in one of the old houses. I don't know how old the house was but certainly in no way modern. ... When we got there everything was just at the sound check sort of stage. There were 4 stages scattered throughout the village and as not much was starting to happen we decided another ice cream was in order and then we were going to walk the 262 steps to the church that was built in the gap between the two cliffs behind the village, the Notre Dame du Beauvoir. It is absolutely incredible how high up you get and looking down ...

We drove east from Rustrel for a couple hours to our next campsite just a few kilometers outside of Moustiers-st-Marie. We were coming to this area to visit the town and to enjoy Lac-St-Croix and the Gorges du Verdon. Just outside Moustiers, we pulled over to get a closer look at some very adorable baby donkeys. Our campsite was packed and although we got a fairly large place, we had no privacy. The campsite was quite cheap but it definitely wasn't a campsite you’d want ...
