      I write this entry from our little room in the mountains by the Gorges De Verdun, sitting by the open window and being serenaded by crickets. It is dark and peaceful, with no noises around other than the sounds of nature. So different than our room last night--which was just inches from the train tracks that carried the speeding cars by and sounded as if they were in our room!

      We spent the week exploring the Gorges du Verdun along with amazing towns of Moustiers Sainte Marie, Aups and Lac Sainte Croix.

      Everyday started with fresh crossants from the small bakery in the village of

      The rabbit was super tasty, and I finished off Sams that she could not eat (we got a serving for 4). I would have given it close to a 10 except that it was ever so slightly too salty, and maybe could have done with a little extra sauce/juice but the rabbit was lovely and juicy/tender, and had lovely flavours. It worked well as an easy dinner and was super tasty with the baguette we bought, which was also well and truly up ...

      ... soared around the cliffs and above the village. Ruby says she is doing it this year and does not care if there are rules that say she can't. As we walked back down to the village we passed a restaurant that had a band playing some Spanish music with a flamenco dancer so in we went. The owner of the restaurant gave us front row seats, we were literally about 2 feet from the dancers wooden boards and the girls were entranced. We enjoyed ...
