I was pretty happy with our new accommodation. It was formerly a very large single family house, now converted to accommodate a small number of guests. It had a central courtyard, complete with a pond, water feature and fish. We were all so jetlagged that we fell into a deep sleep on the flight from Miami to Pointe-a-Pitre, the capital of Guadeloupe. We thus sadly missed our first glimpses of paradise from the air, awaking only as we landed at the airport. It was initially trouble in paradise as Mum and Dad had to deal with two tired and crying kids.

... yelled " you leave dat white man alone, he not for you". I may never get Len to wait outside a fitting room again!

Anyway Some great duty free bargains were to be had before a long stroll on foot and then back to the Spirit for lunch and yep, more of the same.

As we prepare to head out for dinner under the stars at the Skygrill, we are looking forward to the view of the harbour now that the three other ships have sailed.
