... we paid the locksmith 120 E ( about $180 Canadian) for a service call and a 90 second solution! Now we know how the locals can shop at Les Galeries Lafayette! After this experience we needed some comfort food so we tried a great Italian place on a side street for fried calamari (no batter here!) and pasta pappardelle with speck ham and mushrooms for Rick, and rigatoni with pumpkin (yes!), marscapone and speck for Ardeth. A continental type breakfast with great croissants and brioche and we were at Musee de Louvre at 10 am (the usual stairs and train changes slowed us a little). It was a good time to arrive with small ...

By now it is 3:30pm so a rest is needed as tonight we have a river Seine cruise followed by dinner on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower and finally a Moulin Rouge show which should see us back at our Hotel by 1:45am. Summing up - Paris is a beautiful city and despite being told it was dirty and Parisian were rude we found this to be the opposite. We would return to France in a heart ...

Self reflection time

So far on this journey I've learned that it's alright not to be happy 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Sometimes you need those moments of sadness and breakdown in order to let go of or realize whatever is hurting you. I've also realized that we are in charge of our own destiny and have the ability to let bliss be our guide at any given moment. We do not have to keep choosing pain. And we do not have to keep making the same mistakes over and over again. Also, we do not have ...
