Those amateur weather forecasters who told us that we have seen the last good weather were wrong. It started out cool but sunny at dawn and got better all day. How could we not be uplifted by the sun rising on the bridges and Luxembourg gardens as we walked to school? ... hour lunch stop beside the River Somme then onto the 130km/hr motorway to our hotel at Gonesse near CDG airport north of Paris. ... details and soaking in the love and gratitude we were feeling.

After another glass of champagne, we headed back to our little houseboat and crawled into bed for our first real night's sleep in a few days. The gentle lull of the river rocked us to sleep and is now enticing us to start our 2nd day in Paris!

All I can think is how grateful I am for this experience.... for my family, friends, music, love, and for JP.
