Today we visited Chateau Chillon , a 12th century castle. It has been restored to an amazing level. Think Larnach Castle x 5. It was huge and the highest tower equivalent to a modern seven storey house ! It was amazing, great insight into medieval life. This very picturesque Chateau but somewhat spooky building was just a 20 minute walk along the lakeside from where ...

For a big city it was very quiet, not a lot of traffic or people ...

Even though the ride is a bit rougher, I think the experience of riding on a train is much less stressful than going to an airport, through security, and then onto a plane. I woke up an hour before my train was scheduled to leave, walked to the lake, and then to the station with plenty of time to spare.

For my one day in Geneva, I woke up early to have breakfast and head out for the day. I walked around the city, saw the Saint Pierre Cathedral, Old Town, Place Nueva and the Jet d'Eau. Being a Monday in Europe, all the museums were closed, so I instead ...
